Everyone knows our great state is one of the most diverse in the nation. In just a matter of hours, it’s possible to visit vast redwood forests, sunny beaches, snowy mountains, and harsh deserts, all within California’s borders. Not to mention California’s immense economic power.
But, some argue that all of this is too much for one state. Jefferson advocates say that the population, wealthy areas have too much influence over the more rural, Northern California areas. And California billionaire Tim Draper says the state is too big and unwieldy to govern.
