Roadsnacks Ranks 'Dumbest' Cities in California

Oh, Roadsnacks. Didn’t mamma ever tell you? If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Well, the answer is an apparent no because the infotainment site recently released its list of what it calls “the dumbest cities in California.”

Before you get too bent out of shape, Roadsnacks wants you to know that this mean old list is all in good fun.

“This article is an opinion based on facts and is meant as infotainment. Don’t freak out,” a disclaimer on the website reads.

To determine the rankings, the researchers looked at education statistics—specifically, graduation and drop-out rates across California’s cities. The list of the not-so-bright was as follows:

1. Huron

Adults without a high school diploma: 72.9%

Teenage high school drop outs: 15.0%

2. Avenal

Adults without high school diploma: 54.4%

Teenage high school drop outs: 24.7%

3. King City

Adults without high school diploma: 56.2%

Teenage high school drop outs: 20.2%

4. Greenfield

Adults without high school diploma: 50.3%

Teenage high school drop outs: 25.8%

5. Mendota

Adults without high school diploma: 66.5%

Teenage high school drop outs: 14.5%

6. Arvin

Adults Without High School Diploma: 65.5%

Teenage High School Drop Outs: 11.4%

7. Wasco

Adults without high school diploma: 49.7%

Teenage high school drop outs: 18.9%

8. Lindsay

Adults without high school diploma: 52.6%

Teenage high school drop outs: 11.3%

9. Hawaiian Gardens

Adults without high school diploma: 43.0%

Teenage high school drop outs: 25.6%

10. Bell

Adults without high school diploma: 54.7%

Teenage high school drop outs: 9.6%
