Last week, we told you about the best and worst cities for starting a career. But what about the people with experience under their belt, looking to climb the proverbial ladder?
Queue the writers at Forbes.com, who recently analyzed the data to determine the best cities for college-educated workers with 10 or more years of experience. After tallying job growth, unemployment rates, salaries, housing prices, and overall costs of living in America’s largest 100 metro areas, they were able to develop a list of 20 cities where mid-level career professionals outperform.
California did a little better this time, thanks to the Bay Area’s larger-than-life tech industry. But it was the Midwest which truly dominated in the end. See for yourself:
