In this increasingly fast-paced and technology-driven world, quality friendships seem to harder and harder to come by. But, believe it or not, where you live could determine how easy it is for you to find your next Fred or Ethel Mertz.
With that in mind, the website realtor.com recently mapped out the top 10 cities for making new friends. To determine the rankings, its analysts compared a host of factors across 42 large metropolitan areas. These include the number of bookstores, libraries and gyms; church congregations per 100,000 adults; the percentage of singles and adults involved in volunteer work; and the number of service clubs and individuals participating in meet-up groups.
Just one California city made the list.
