Bigamy Questions Dog Curren Price’s Re-Election Campaign

Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price is married to a lovely woman named Del Richardson. Unfortunately, it seems he’s also married to someone else.

More than three decades ago, Price married Lynn Suzette Green in Annandale, Va. He sought a divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court in 2006 and refiled the action in 2011.

 

But the court records do not indicate that the divorce was ever granted. The case remains open, according to court records and a court spokeswoman.

Price’s campaign says the councilman could have sworn his divorce was final. They’re now trying to find records to prove it, so far to no avail. The attorney who represented him in the divorce, Albert Robles, says Price definitely is divorced. But he too has not produced documents to that effect.

The whole ordeal has now become a problem for Price’s re-election prospects. He’s facing off against two challengers in Council District 9 on Tuesday.
