At $32.66 per gram Tokyo, Japan is the most expensive city in the world for pot, according to the new 2018 Cannabis Price Index compiled by Tel Aviv-based cultivator device company Seedo.
The firm gathered its data from prices submitted by cannabis users to crowdsourcing websites like PriceOfWeed.com and MarijuanaTravels.com and ranked a list of 120 cities by average pot price around the world.
The top 5 most expensive cities for cannabis were all located in Asia. Out of the U.S. cities, Washington, D.C. ranked as the priciest city for marijuana ($18.08 per gram). A gram is $9.27 and $8.14 respectively in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Seattle was the cheapest city for pot in the U.S. at $7.58 per gram.
