Sacramento, California is the third best city for working women, according to rankings from Lending Tree personal finance website MagnifyMoney.com. The state’s capital came in just behind Washington, D.C. and Seattle.
Sacramento has a relatively low male-female earning gap of 13.7%, a 7.3% female unemployment rate, and an impressive 33.9% female-owned business rate. Another 43.2% of managers in the city are women.
MagnifyMoney.com ranked San Francisco at No. 6 and San Diego at No. 10. 5.4% of females in San Francisco are unemployed. 34% of businesses there are owned by females.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles has the narrowest earnings gap between men and women. It ranked No. 21 on the list.
