Just 46% of San Francisco storefronts were able to survive the pandemic. That’s according to a recent survey conducted by the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
1,200 stores that were open at the start of the pandemic are still in operation. 1,300 or 54% have shut their doors. Unemployment claims in San Francisco have reached 193,000.
The Chamber conducted the study with the help of credit card companies. The aim was to idenitfy which businesses need the most assistance right now.
