Year in Review: Our Top 10 Stories of 2021

There are just 11 days left until 2022. If there’s anything we’ve learned, it’s that there’s no predicting what might come next.

It was just six days after the 2021 New Year that a group of insurrectionists raided the US Capitol in an attempt to overturn the election. Then came Delta, the fall of Afghanistan, and a couple of billionaires launching themselves into space.

California saw its own share of special craziness. 2021 was a banner year for recall elections across the state. Sadly, we saw the passing of a number of elected officials too.

As always, the best part of the year here at California City News was getting to experience it all with you. Below are the top ten stories you cared about most.
