San Francisco: why you gotta be so rude?
That’s not our assessment. It’s Preply’s. The e-learning platform published rankings of the rudest cities in America this week based on surveys of more than 1,500 people. San Francisco came in at #7. It was the rudest city in California.
San Diego was ranked #2 nationwide in politeness, making it the least rude city in the state. San Jose also made the list of polite cities at #11 nationally.
Overall, people tend to rank larger cities as less polite. There’s not as much conraderie in large urban areas where neighbors are less likely to know one another. Plus, city slickers are notoriously busy. There's not much time left for pleasantries.
