Hollywood often gets a bad rep for being out of touch with regular Americans. But one actor is reminding us that there’s plenty of heart and graciousness in the entertainment industry.
On Saturday, Jurassic World star Chris Pratt surprised members of the Vacaville Police Department who were attending a showing of his film and participating in a charitable auction to benefit children of police officers with cancer.
The whole theatre was in shock when Pratt arrived. The actor stayed to watch the film with officers, chat, and participate in the auction.
Pratt’s appreciation for law enforcement is personal. His brother Daniel “Cully” Pratt is a deputy with the Solano County Sheriff’s Department. Clearly, love of community runs in the family.
