Americans love their dogs. The average household spent over $1,000 last year to keep their pup happy and healthy. And in some cities, there are more dog parents than parents of human children.
When you’re obsessed with your dog, local pet services and amenities matter. It’s important to have good veterinary care, pet hotels, and dog parks nearby. Those were some of the factors that Tractor Supply Company took into account when it recently ranked the most dog-friendly cities in America.
The company looked at the state’s 50 most populous cities, and compared data from a variety of sources, including Rover, review sites, Trust for Public Land data, and more.
According to Tractor Supply Company, these are the country’s 10 most dog-friendly cities:
Tampa, FL
Austin, TX
Portland, OR
Miami, FL
Tucson, AZ
Atlanta, GA
Raleigh, NC
