The Dallas Mavericks will never live down the decision to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Weeks after the trade heard ‘round the world, emotions are still running high — and spilling over into city council meetings.
One very ticked off Mavericks fan recently delivered an impassioned speech about the trade before the Irving, Texas City Council. He pointed the finger at Mavericks owner Miriam Adelson and the power of the billionaire class. He accused Adelson of using Doncic as leverage to get casino gambling legalized in Texas. And he questioned whether members of the City Council are on the take.
