Protests against Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan drew thousands on Sunday, with some demonstrators blocking the 101 Freeway along with surface streets in Downtown L.A.
The protests went into the night and continued on Monday, which was designated “a day without immigrants.” In observance, some people stayed home from work and kept their children home from school.
The largest demonstrations took place in L.A. and Santa Ana. There were many Mexican flags in sight, which drew criticism from Trump supporters on social media.
The Los Angeles Times has published a series of photos from the protests.
