South Pasadena has inched a bit closer in its quest to find a new city manager. July 11 was the final day for candidates to submit their applications. In that stack of papers somewhere is the man or woman who will eventually be chosen as the city’s next top administrator.
The candidates will be presented to the council next month, with a final announcement expected in October. Roseville-based recruitment firm Peckham & McKenney has been handling the search. It’s unclear how many applied.
South Pasadena’s last city manager Sergio Gonzalez left in May for the same position in Hermosa Beach. He was earning a base salary of $172,670 while employed by South Pasadena.
