The City of Arvin has filled its top management position internally, opening up a key vacancy in its police department.
Police Chief Richard “Jerry” Breckinridge has been appointed to the permanent city manager position six months after becoming acting city manager.
Breckinridge earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific University. He is a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy and holds various certificates from the California POST Police Academy.
Arvin is now on the hunt for a new chief of police.
