Pauly crashed her Porsche 911 into a parked pickup truck around 1 a.m. back in September.

She then failed to pass a field sobriety test at the scene of the crash. After booking, she was released on a written promise to appear in court in late October.

Pauly attributed the incident to personal issues, as her husband of 32 years filed for divorce in August. She continued, saying “This incident is a reminder to stay focused on the campaign and to maintain my high personal standards of conduct and character.”

Orange County records shoes Pauly to have no previous criminal record.

She was straightforward in acknowledging that the incident could have an impact on her campaign for assembly, but didn’t go into greater detail.

This is not Pauly’s first brush with controversy though, she has previously made headlines in 2010, likening Obamacare to sodomy, and again in 2011 when she called two Muslims speaking at a local event “unadulterated evil.”

The complete story on Pauly’s DUI can be found here.
