Depending on where you live, driving is either a normal part of life or the journey into Hell you dread every single day.
For too many of us in California, it’s the latter.
WalletHub has released its annual list of the best and worst cities for driving in the Untied States and, per usual, California is all over the wrong side of this list.
The very worst is Detroit, MI, according to the survey. But San Francisco was runner-up at No. 99. Oakland came in at No. 98. Los Angeles was also in the bottom 10 (duh).
In addition to mind numbing traffic problems, gas prices leave much to be desired. Every single one of the cities on WalletHub’s high gas price category were in California: Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Jose, Fremont, Oakland, and San Francisco. San Diego had the highest parking rates and San Bernardino and Oakland had some of the highest car theft rates.
Our one saving grace: we don’t have a whole lot of rain or snow to deal with.
