A Bay Area city has been named the best place in California for renters by WalletHub.
Fremont, California ranked 25th nationwide on WalletHub’s new list of the “Best Places to Rent.” It came in at #1 in California. The best place to rent in America is Overland Park, Kansas followed by Scottsdale, Arizona.
The rankings reflect how difficult Southern California’s rental market has become. Out of the 10 worst places to rent in the state, nine are in Southern California, and four of those are in the Inland Empire.
By contrast, three Bay Area cities made the top 10.
