A 22-year-old lifeguard employed by the City of Burbank has been arrested for allegedly videotaping unsuspecting women and girls in a locker room at the Verdugo Park Pool. Arturo Montano pleaded not guilty Friday to misdemeanor charges, including unlawful recording and annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18.
Investigators say they found evidence of the voyeurism on Montano’s cellphone. They also conducted a search of his Sun Valley home where they confiscated a computer as evidence.
The allegations are every woman and girl’s worst summer nightmare. Like much of the Southland, Burbank has seen record-breaking temperatures over the past two weeks, sending swarms of people to the city’s public swimming pools.
