Vanity, they name is California. At least that's the word from the real estate website, Trulia. Their researchers recently compiled a list of the most narcissistic metros in the U.S. as part of their sinful cities edition, and the Golden State has devoured the list.
The methodology here was sure to ensnare the state. That’s because the researchers looked at the number of beauty salons, tanning salons and plastic surgery centers for every 10,000 households. And, as we all know, there’s nothing our big cities love more than a nice bronze and a brow lift. Except selfies. Selfies are pretty important too.
Believe it or not, Los Angeles did not top this list. That honor went to Orange County, where there are four plastic surgeons for every household. San Francisco came in at #2, with Los Angeles following closely behind. San Diego and San Jose rounded out the top 5.
