California City Councilmember Karen Macedonio was censured Tuesday by her colleagues on the dais.
The formal reprimand was prompted by a text message Macedonio sent to former interim city manager Jim Hart after a closed session meeting over a potential employment contract.
The vote to censure Macedonio was 3-1, with Councilmember Jim Creighton dissenting.
Macedonio will face no penalties.
