congrats

From California Consulting:

California Consulting is celebrating a significant win as we helped secure more than $400,000 from the California Department of Boating and Waterways to support the Merced Irrigation District (MID) Parks and Recreation Department. California Consulting Project Manager Cecily Harris spearheaded the effort. With her expertise and dedication, Harris played a crucial role in crafting a winning proposal that highlighted the importance of improving boating infrastructure in the region. MID's exceptional and diligent team was outstanding, seamlessly integrating their exceptional vision to elevate the overall quality of the application.

MID owns and operates Lakes McClure and McSwain. The two adjacent lakes are located in the foothills of the central Sierra Nevada mountains, west of Yosemite National Park. The lakes offer boating, fishing,  camping and hiking among other outdoor activities.

The grant funding obtained by California Consulting is intended to support MID’s Parks and Recreation Department and its new comprehensive plans for boat launch facilities, as well as enhancing water access and general recreational opportunities. Specifically, the funding is being made available through the California Department of Boating and Waterways Boat Launch Facility-Motorized Planning Grant  program.

“This investment not only promotes recreational activities but also contributes to the economic vitality of  the area by attracting visitors and supporting local businesses,” said Harris with California Consulting. “We are extremely pleased to have provided crucially needed support for MID’s efforts to steward water resources effectively while providing valuable recreational opportunities for the community.”
