The California Department of Finance has released the latest population figures for California. The report shows sluggish growth statewide — a trend that has been afoot since the 2008 recession. Among the fastest growing cities, only two (Bakersfield and Sacramento) grew at a rate above 1%.
These are California’s fastest growing cities and their respective growth rates, according to the May report:
Beaumont, Riverside County, population 51,475 (3.7%)
Folsom, Sacramento County, population 81,610 (3.1%)
Roseville, Placer County, population 145,163 (2.7%)<
Dublin, Alameda County, population 65,716 (2.5%)
Menifee, Riverside County, population 97,093 (2.5%)
Merced, population 88,120 (2.4%)
Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, population 31,439 (2.3%)
Milpitas, Santa Clara County, population 76,211 77,961 (2.3%)
Rocklin, Placer County, population 70,350 (2.2%)
Clovis, Fresno County, population 119,175 (2.2%)
