The City of Wildomar in Riverside County has hired a new interim manager. The City Council voted unanimously Wednesday, May 14, to appoint Chris Mann to the job.
Mann most recently served as chief executive for Yucaipa. From 2019 to 2023, he was city manager of Canyon Lake, where he was credited with improving the city’s financial standing and helping to establish the new fire department. He was Director/President of the Yucaipa Valley Water District from 2016 to 2023 and Mayor of Westlake Village before that.
Wildomar Mayor Ashlee DePhillippo described Mann as “a highly experienced municipal executive known for driving innovation, fiscal responsibility, and effective communications.”
“His experience aligns well with Wildomar’s needs as we continue to grow and explore new economic development and infrastructure opportunities,” she added.
Wildomar reached a separation agreement last month with its former city manager Dan York. Janet Morales has been serving in the acting city manager’s role.
Mann will earn a base salary of $250,000 per year.
