By California Consulting

California Consulting is proud to announce the successful acquisition of a $4,992,209 grant from the State Water Resources Control Board's Clean Water State Revolving Fund for the City of Arvin. This critical funding will finance essential repairs and upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Effluent Pond #3.

This grant is a major milestone in the City of Arvin’s clean water vision. The awarded funds will be used to  implement comprehensive repairs and upgrades, including reinforcing pond structures, updating  treatment technologies, and ensuring compliance with state water quality standards. These improvements will not only boost the efficiency and reliability of the water treatment process but also  contribute to the overall well-being of Arvin’s residents.

Ed Sayles, Project Manager at California Consulting, played a pivotal role in navigating the complex grant  application process. Reflecting on the achievement, Sayles remarked, "This grant is a pivotal step  forward for Arvin’s water infrastructure. The upgrades to Effluent Pond #3 will not only enhance water  treatment capabilities but also ensure that Arvin's Wastewater Treatment Plant will continue to provide  the Community with a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound wastewater system. The State Water  Resources Control Board’s is to be commended for its support of this vital project which will have such a positive impact on the City of Arvin".

This accomplishment is a testament to the collaborative efforts between California Consulting, the City of Arvin's Grant Manager, Christine Viterelli, and Jeff Jones, Arvin's City Manager. Together, we are  making strides toward a future with improved infrastructure and sustainable growth.
