Talk about symbolism. A Michigan building where local electeds once crafted city ordinances is about to become a hub for recreational pot.
On Monday, Fennville city commissioners approved selling the city's property at 222 Maple St. for $282,000 to Patricia Dewenter of Wyoming...
Dewenter says she and her father plan to turn the old city hall into a dispensary. Timelines for the business are uncertain as she needs to obtain a recreational marijuana business license from the state, but Dewenter said she hopes to stock a wide variety of marijuana products, including food products, extracts and oils. — The Holland Sentinel
The rezoning plan must still be approved by the Fennville City Commission. The city then needs to grant the license.
The commission will take up the issue on March 23.
