From the City of Industry:

The City of Industry Council have appointed Steve Marcucci, husband of the late Mayor Pro Tem Cathy Marcucci, to fill Marcucci’s vacant seat after her long hard-fought battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer. The Industry City Council is confident in Steve’s appointment due to his active membership with community organizations and efforts, providing him with the knowledge to understand how the city works and the needs of our businesses community.

“Cathy dedicated her life to our community, and I am honored to continue her legacy. I am committed to serving the residents and businesses of Industry with the same dedication and passion she exemplified,” said Steve Marcucci.

Steve Marcucci has been a resident of the City of Industry for over eight years and has worked for over 36 years in the transportation and logistics industry, equipping him with the tools to understand many of the issues impacting our businesses and manufacturers. He is most recently a member of the City of Industry Civic Center Design and Development Advisory Committee and a current and active member of the Industry Hills Charity Pro Rodeo Committee.

With the council seat vacancy filled, today Mayor Moss nominated to appoint Councilmember Michael Greubel to fill the role of Mayor Pro Tem. The Council unanimously voiced their support of Greubel as he has been deeply immersed in serving our community, especially after being elected to the Council in July 2020.

“I am humbled by the Council’s trust in me to step into this role. I look forward to continuing to improve the quality of life for all our residents and continue to double down our commitment to serving our business community through business-friendly policies,” shared Mayor Pro Tem Greubel.

Mayor Pro Tem Greubel currently sits on the Successor Agency to the Industry Urban-Development Agency, the Industry Public Utilities Commission, the Industrial Development Authority, and the Industry Public Facilities Authority. As an Industry resident for nearly 15 years, he has been highly involved in the community, dedicating his time to local organizations such as the Gabriel Foundation and the Industry Hills Charity Events Council which aim to assist underserved populations in the San Gabriel Valley.

“I have complete confidence in both Steve and Michael as they step into their new roles. Steve’s business acumen and community involvement, combined with Michael’s proven dedication and service, ensure that our council is well-prepared to continue serving our city,” said Mayor Moss.
