Paul Armendariz has been hired as the new Assistant City Manager of Clovis, effective June 1. His appointment was unanimously approved by the City Council on May 19.
Armendariz has worked for Clovis for two decades, most recently as Interim Assistant City Manager. He was previously Deputy Director of the Public Utilities Department. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fresno and is a licensed professional engineer in California.
“Paul is a proven leader with experience that is already contributing to Clovis’ success. I am excited to have him join me in leading our City,” said City Manager Andrew Haussler. “Paul excels at finding solutions to City-wide issues, utilizing the trust he has built with residents and staff through his more than 20 years of experience with the City. I am fortunate to have him in the role going forward.”
Armendariz said he was honored to be chosen for the role.
