Elk Grove City Manager Christopher Jason Behrmann announced Thursday that Christopher Jordan, Director of Strategic Planning, is being promoted to Development Services Director.
“Christopher is a problem solver, innovator, and admired leader in the organization. I have great confidence in his ability to lead the Development Services Department into the future,” said Behrmann in a news release.
Jordan stated he was “humbled and excited” by the opportunity.
Jordan has held his current position since 2018. According to the city, he helped bring a new zoo to Elk Grove and served as lead staff for Elk Grove’s General Plan update, the Kammerer Road Urban Design Study, the relocation of the Elk Grove Library, and the Smart City Plan.
Jordan will succeed Darren Wilson, who is retiring next month.
