Embattled Councilman Addresses Multiple 911 Calls to His Sacramento Home

Sacramento City Councilman Sean Loloee has insisted for months that he resides at a North Sacramento home on Nogales Street and not – as reports suggest – at his wife’s home in Granite Bay. That has now put him in the awkward position of explaining a series of 911 calls about parties, weapons, fireworks and stolen cars at the Sacramento property where he claims to live.

California City News first covered the questions about Loloee’s residency back in June. A Sacramento Bee investigation had found that Loloee did not live at the Nogales Street home where he is registered to vote, and instead resides with his wife at a home in Placer County. When reporters from the Bee visited the Sacramento home, “a man told The Bee he was renting the house from Loloee with his son” and five neighbors said they didn’t know Loloee. The city soon launched an investigation.

Loloee maintains that he is residing in the District 2 home, as required by law. He says he’s there seven days a week. An employee of Loloee now says she lives there with Loloee as well as her family. According to Redfin, the house is 1,924 square feet.

Last week, it was revealed that the home was the subject of multiple police complaints in 2021 stemming from large parties. On at least two occasions, someone was alleged to have walked in with a gun. On one occasion, a person was arrested for brandishing a weapon at the house and spent two nights in jail.

In a statement, Loloee said only one of the incidents actually occurred. He insists he was present at the party. The rest of the incidents, he says, are fabricated.

“I’m definitely going to call the chief [of police] and see what’s going on,” Loloee told CapRadio last week. “All of this is false information.”

The city’s investigation is ongoing.
