Valentine’s Day is the pits when you’re flying solo. But listen up single ladies because this one could be your lucky day.
A new study by real estate website Trulia says San Francisco is the top city for marriage material guys. The study was based on U.S. census data. Researchers looked at the ratio of single men to single women, singles’ age ranges, work hours, education and whether they were previously married.
One caveat: this analysis only applies to heterosexual relationships since Trulia concluded that the government didn’t provide adequate statistics for an analysis on same-sex relationships.
For men, San Jose came in No. 2. San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles also made the list.
In case you’re wondering, this study also looked at women to marry. Silver Spring, Maryland and Atlanta, Georgia came in top place for the marriageable ladies.
