Former Anaheim City Councilmember Jordan Brandman has passed away at the age of 43. Police found Brandman unresponsive at his home around 7:45 p.m. Friday following a request for a welfare check.
Brandman’s cause of death is under investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play.
Brandman joined the Anaheim City Council in 2012 and served until 2016. He was elected to the dais again in 2018, but resigned before the end of his term in 2021.
“It is with sorrow and sadness that we learned of the passing of former Councilmember Brandman,” Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken said in a statement. “Any loss of life in our city is a tragedy, and my heart goes out to all who knew Jordan and who are now coping with the news of his passing.”
This is a developing story.
