Rancho Palos Verdes Mayor John Cruikshank and his predecessor, former Mayor Susan Brooks, have both tested positive for COVID-19. The two were diagnosed after attending the same March 8 party at the Trump National Golf Club where guests later tested positive for the virus.
Brooks just celebrated her 70th birthday (the event in question). Both she and Cruikshank are currently isolated in their homes.
Other public officials were also in attendance at Brooks’ birthday party, including Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn. The supervisor says she never exhibited any symptoms and was not tested for the virus.
