Former Bell City Councilman Danny Harber, 76, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly murdering his 81-year-old wife Donna.
Donna Harber was found dead from a gunshot wound at approximately 6:30 AM at the couples’ Weik Avenue home. Danny Harber was taken into custody on suspicion of murder. According to the Los Angeles Times, he was first taken to a hospital to be medically cleared.
Harber joined the City Council in 2011 after a now infamous corruption scandal rocked the southeast L.A. County town. He was one of a number of fresh faces ushered into public office after the stunning betrayal. He served on the Council until 2013.
