California Forward invites Central Valley city officials and staff to attend a free event February 4 exploring how open civic data helps local governments be more efficient, effective and responsive. Leaders in the field will share best practices and case studies from around the nation, with a focus on policy, process and implementation. Breakout sessions will cater to both technical and non-technical participants.
Confirmed speakers include Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, City of LA Chief Data Officer Abhi Nemani, Peter Koht of OpenCounter as well as many others. The event is an extension of the work Ca Fwd and Code for America have done in other regions, including previous forums held in San Bernardino (pictured above), Long Beach and San Jose.
Register for the free event here, or direct questions to Robb Korinke.
