By California Consulting

We are delighted to share some fantastic news with our community! Friends of The Hollywood Central Park (FHCP) has been awarded a significant grant totaling over $3 million from the US Department of Transportation. This grant, specifically under the Reconnecting Communities NAE (RCN) funding, amounts to $3,599,760.

The US Department of Transportation only funded 7 projects nationwide and Hollywood Central Park was one of them! The success of securing this substantial grant is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, led by California Consulting's Senior Grant Writer, Ashley Ramsey. Ashley's expertise and commitment, combined with the collaborative efforts of Friends of The Hollywood Central Park, resulted in a winning application that stood out among tough competition.

Ashley stated “I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the Friends of the Hollywood Central Park. Hollywood and FHCP have spent more than a decade developing their community-led, innovative and holistic park design to heal the highway scar across their neighborhoods. I'm hopeful that the planning and design activities funded by RCN will pave the way for construction funding giving Hollywood children a place to play and helping all people thrive."

This funding will also play a pivotal role in advancing FHCP’s mission to create a vibrant and sustainable urban oasis right in the heart of Hollywood. With the support of the USDOT grant, they will reconnect communities, enhance accessibility, and promote green spaces for the well-being of the residents and visitors alike.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ashley Ramsey for her exceptional leadership and tireless efforts throughout the grant application process. Additionally, we would like to express our sincerest appreciation to the entire team at Friends of The Hollywood Central Park for their unwavering dedication and passion for this project.

Congratulations to Friends of The Hollywood Central Park on this well-deserved recognition, and here's to the continued success and progress!
