Point2 Homes has new rankings on what it calls “the most dynamic cities in the U.S.” It took into account human capital (population and immigration levels), education and culture, economic activity and housing. Then it ranked the nation’s 150 most populous cities using a 120-point scale.
The top 10 most dynamic cities were as follows:
1. San Francisco, CA
2. Seattle, WA
3. Denver, CO
4. Aurora, CO
5. Grand Prairie, TX
6. Oakland, CA
7. Fort Worth, TX
8. San Jose, CA
9. Atlanta, GA
10. Miami, FL
Some additional highlights:
-Ontario was the most dynamic community in the L.A. Metro, followed by Irvine, Santa Ana, Los Angeles, and Anaheim. It ranked 40th overall and 8th in the small cities category.
-Oceanside and Elk Grove took the 7th and 8th spots for small cities.
-Stockton was ranked as the 8th most dynamic medium-sized city.
-San Francisco saw the second-highest increase in median income in the country.
-Oakland saw the the 8th largest increase in median income nationwide at 30%.
-San Jose experienced the highest GDP growth in the country.
