Hollister City Manager David Mirrione will step down on September 21, the city has announced. Mirrione has accepted a job with another public agency.
Hollister first hired Mirrione as assistant city manager in 2022. He was appointed interim city manager in March 2023 after the firing of Brett Miller and appointed to the permanent position five months later. Previously, he served as assistant county executive officer for the County of Merced.
“It has been a true pleasure to work with such a committed, hardworking and skilled City Manager as David Mirrione," said Mayor Roxanne Stephens in a statement. "I would like to thank him for his leadership throughout his three years and in achieving major goals that benefit the Hollister community members especially in assisting with bringing back the 2025 Hollister Independence Biker Rally. I wish him much success in his future endeavors."
Mirrione called it an honor to have served the Benito County city.
