Congratulations, Huntington Beach! The seaside community has made it into the top 15 best run cities for 2016, according to WalletHub.com. To determine the rankings, the popular credit site compared 150 of the largest cities across the U.S. on financial stability and the economy, education, health and safety, pollution and infrastructure.
Huntington Beach came in at #14 right behind Oklahoma City, Las Cruces, NM and Lewiston, ME. The next best run city in California was Santa Ana way down the list at #60. Boise and Napa, ID and Provo, UT took the top three spots.
“It’s great to know Huntington Beach is ranked in the top of Wallet Hub’s list,” City Manager Fred Wilson told the Orange County Register.“This acknowledges our belief that we are doing all of the right things. At the end of the day, it’s simple – be conservative with taxpayer funds, and always put the community first.”
