Everyone knows how grueling the search for a new job can be. Fortunately, the employment search website Indeed.com has simplified the process, laying out the top 50 cities in the nation with the best job markets today.
The results were based on preliminary data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics for September 2015 for the nation's largest metropolitan cities. And the figures aren’t too shabby for the State of California.
San Jose took the #1 spot, with three job postings for every one unemployed person. The positions aren’t all in Tech either. Career seekers also have the pick of the litter when it comes to fields like medical research, real estate, and sales.
Denver, CO was runner-up, with a 2:1 job-posting-to-job-seeking ratio. Austin, TX, Salt Lake City, UT and Raleigh, NC rounded out the top 5.
Other Golden State cities on the list include San Francisco (#6) and San Diego (#39). Sacramento came in at #43 Riverside at #46 and Los Angeles at #49.
