Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer has charged two TikTok stars for holding large parties in the Hollywood Hills in violation of local health orders.
"If you have a combined 19 million followers on TikTok in the middle of a public health crisis, you should be modeling great behavior...rather than brazenly violating the law," said Feuer at a press conference.
The two individuals, Blake Gray and Bryce Hal, could get up to a year in jail, plus a $2,000 fine. Power was already cut to the home on Aug. 19.
While no virus outbreaks have been linked to the parties, the city attorney's legal pursuit sends a clear message to other would-be health violators in Los Angeles.
