Anaheim Assistant City Manager Kristine Ridge is expected to be appointed to the top administrative position in Laguna Niguel today, effective January of 2018. The city council will vote on its replacement for former city manager Rod Foster at its regularly scheduled city council meeting this evening. Interim City Manager Stephen Erlandson has held the spot since Foster stepped down in July.

“I’m honored to be given the opportunity to serve the city of Laguna Niguel,” said Ridge in a press release. “I look forward to working with the mayor and city council, city departments, and the community. Laguna Niguel is truly a gem offering an exceptional quality of life for its residents and businesses, and I am excited to be a part of securing a bright future for this vibrant and attractive community.”

Laguna Niguel Mayor Fred Minagar praised Ridge’s “distinguished” 29-year career in public service. She’s served multiple capacities in Anaheim for the past 24 years. Ridge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, along with numerous professional certificates.

Ridge will earn an annual salary of $258,000, plus a car allowance of $625 per month and an $18,000 annual contribution toward deferred compensation.
