There are just three days left until the Big Game. The Super Bowl will take place this Sunday, February 9th, in New Orleans.
Unless you’re one of the lucky few heading to the Big Easy, you’ll probably be watching the game somewhere in your hometown. And depending on the city, you could have a much more enjoyable experience than others.
WalletHub has just ranked the best and worst cities for football fans ahead of game day. The good news: not a single city in the Golden State is among the worst 10. Meanwhile, two California locales — Los Angeles and San Francisco — are among the 10 best cities for football fans, according to WalletHub.
To determine the rankings, the website compared 250 U.S. cities with at least one professional football team (NFL) or at least one college football team (NCAA, including FBS and FCS). You can see the factors that were considered here.
Pittsburgh was ranked the best place for football fans nationwide, followed by Dallas, Texas and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The five best places for football fans in California are:
- Los Angeles
- San Francisco
- San Diego
- Stanford (CDP)
- Fresno
List and data were compiled by WalletHub and do not reflect statistics on all cities.
