Whittier Daily News is reporting dire fiscal straits for the City of Montebello. Evidently "a memorandum to the City Council on Feb. 25, City Manager Francesca Tucker-Schuyler said an $8 million budget surplus from July 2015 will be reduced 75 percent in 2016’s budget, and could fall by millions of dollars more next year."
Eesh. Though this isn't exactly new news. The city has faced high turnover among it's department heads, and after the elections last November the Daily News ran a simialrly themed piece "New Montebello council faces serious issues."
Time to sharpen the pencils. Best of luck Montebello.
