Is it aliens? And if it is, for goodness sake, beam us up!
A new metal monolith appeared in a California park just days after another mysterious monument disappeared from a remote spot in the Utah desert.

Within days of the Atscadero discovery, another bizarre, metal rectangular structure appeared in the City of Santa Clarita. Once again, it popped up seemingly overnight with no discernible rhyme or reason.
The objects — suspected to be pranks or a marketing scheme — look a lot like the monoliths that appear in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, based on the fictional series by Arthur C. Clark. In the books/film, the monoliths are placed on earth by an alien race. They facilitate the evolutionary process and interstellar travel and are able to self-replicate. Oh and they have the power to destroy the human race!
Clark himself couldn’t have written a better ending for 2020.
