Coronavirus cases are trending downward once more after an alarming spike across the south and sunbelt of the United States. But there are plenty of cities where average daily cases continue to rise.
24/7 Wall St. took data from the week ending Aug. 17 and compared it to the previous week to determine which metropolitan areas are seeing the fastest growth in cases. Metros with less than 20 new cases per day were excluded.
Nine out of the ten cities with the fastest growing cases were in California. The virus continues to slam the state’s Central Valley.
