Folsom has hired a new city manager. Bryan Whitemyer was appointed Tuesday by the city council. That means he’ll be leaving Oakdale where he has served as city manager since 2013.
“While I will deeply miss the Oakdale community, I am excited for the opportunity to serve the City of Folsom in the next chapter of my career,” Whitemyer said in a statement. March 6 will be his last day.
An Oakdale news release credited Whitemyer with the rehabilitation of North Third Avenue, the building of Greger Sports Park, and the City Hall/Police Department building renovation project.
Folsom’s last permanent city manager, Elaine Andersen, retired last month after 20 years with the city and six years as its chief administrator. Dan Haverty is currently serving as interim city manager.
