Oceanside police have issued a public advisory following multiple attacks on homeless people in the city.
The three assaults occurred within two miles of each other. Calls came into police on September 18th, October 5th, and October 6th.
Two of the victims were found dead from blunt force trauma. The third was stabbed, but survived his injuries.
Police have not confirmed whether the attacks are related. However, they have increased patrols in areas frequented by homeless people and are reaching out to homeless individuals to warn them.
“We ask that you stay alert, be aware of your surroundings, trust your instincts, and if something doesn’t feel right, call the Oceanside Police Department,” said Chief Kedrick Sadler.
