Friday, November 28, will be Pinole City Manager Kelcey Young’s last day on the job. Young is stepping down after 16 months “to pursue other career opportunities,” according to the city.
“Ms. Young expressed great pride in her experience as City Manager, her accomplishments while in Pinole, and the work she put in to make our City an even better place to live,” a news release said. “The City thanks Ms. Young for all her efforts and service to our community and wishes her the greatest success in her future endeavors.”
Young was hired in August 2024. She previously served as the City Manager of Sweet Home, Oregon (Sept 2022 – Aug 2024), and as Clearlake’s Finance Director (Aug 2021- Sept 2022).
Pinole is located in Contra Costa County and has a population of around 18,600.
The Pinole City Council will soon release information about its plans for a new city manager.
